It's a warm day in Branson, Missouri at the Ballparks of America. The bases are loaded at the St Louis field. On third base is Carthage’s Max Templeman ready to take off at the slightest opportunity. As a teammate singles into the outfield Max takes his opportunity and flies through home plate to score a run.
That was just one of his two runs. Max got everything he wanted today, it was just that type of day for Max. He finished with two runs, 5 stolen bases as well as pitching exceptionally to hold New England to one run.
On the New England side there wasn’t much to praise besides Cameron Cole. Cole who started at pitcher had a rough go at it as Carthage built a 3 nothing lead early off of his pitching. However, On the other side of the ball Cole was fantastic. He finished batting 3-3 and one of those was a double.
Carthage capitalized off some early mistakes at the Expense of New England. The score didn’t change much after the 3 run first inning for Carthage. New England was just unable to close the gap between them and Carthage in the following innings.
The ending score had Carthage coming out on top 4-1 over New England
Carthage is playing out of Missouri while New England hails from Connecticut.
