Middle Atlantic took the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Southwest on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Southwest batting in the top of the fifth when Jordon Woolardsingled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Middle Atlantic earned the victory despite allowing Southwest to score five runs in the fifth inning. Southwest's big inning was driven by a single by Woolard and a double by Cameron Laffitte.
Middle Atlantic knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning. Anthony Procaccino drove in one when he tripled.
Brady Feliciotto got the start for Middle Atlantic. He allowed four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out eight.
Laffitte was on the pitcher's mound for Southwest. He allowed five hits and three runs over three innings. Edward McLeod Jr. threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Middle Atlantic racked up eight hits on the day. Shane Driscoll, Vincent Angioletti, and Procaccino all managed multiple hits for Middle Atlantic. Procaccino, Angioletti, and Driscolleach collected two hits to lead Middle Atlantic.
Fuller Chisholm led Southwest with two hits in two at bats.
