McKnight's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Branson Victory Over Middle Atlantic
Branson took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over Middle Atlantic. The game was tied at two, with Branson batting in the bottom of the seventh when Adam McKnight singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Branson pitchers struck out nine, while Middle Atlantic pitchers sat down ten.
In the first inning, Middle Atlantic got their offense started. Middle Atlantic scored one run when Shawn Caragine singled.
Gavin Thomason got the start for Branson. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out seven.
Caragine led things off on the hill for Middle Atlantic. The pitcher lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one. Nicholas Mondesando threw four and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Jerimiah Jones, Rowan Johnson, and McKnight each collected one hit to lead Branson.
Max Selinger led Middle Atlantic with two hits in three at-bats. Middle Atlantic tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Selinger led the way with two.
