Even though Kentucky gave up five runs in the fifth inning, they still defeated Massachusetts 9-5 on Tuesday. Massachusetts's big inning was driven by singles by Aidan Cousineau and Dominic Taylor and an error on a ball put in play by Dylan Bradley.
Kentucky got on the board in the first inning. Owen Jenkins homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Kentucky put up five runs in the third inning. Kentucky big bats were led by Jenkins, Reece Harbison, Cooper Jackson, and Roosezelt Harris, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Jenkins got the start for Kentucky. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over four and a third innings, striking out five and walking zero.
Peter Rubini started the game for Massachusetts. He went two innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out two. Kyle Cousineau, Cousineau, and Bradley each contributed in relief for Massachusetts.
Kentucky launched three home runs on the day. Charlie Slabaugh had a four bagger in the second inning. Jenkins had a long ball in the first and third innings.

Lucas Tremblay went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Massachusetts in hits. Massachusetts was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jackson Moore made the most plays with six.
